Answer to Question 1

B
Feedback:
Cromolyn stabilizes mast cells and is not used in acute bronchospasm. Aminophylline is used in limited cases but is administered for acute asthma attack. Albuterol and formoterol are used for acute asthma attack.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
Adenosine has a very short duration of action (serum half-life of less than 10 seconds) and a high degree of effectiveness. It must be given by a rapid bolus injection, preferably through a central venous line. Cardiac catheterization is not indicated in this patient's care. Holter monitoring and nonstress testing are not used in the immediate assessment of patients in cardiac decompensation.
