Ivermectin (Stromectol), which is used for numerous parasitic infections, is most active against strongyloidiasis (caused by the roundworm Strongyloides stercoralis). Entamoeba histolytica causes amebiasis. Plasmodium falciparum causes malaria, and Giardia lamblia causes giardiasis.
