Answer to Question 1

dysphagia
Classic signs of dysphagia include inability to hold food and fluid in the mouth or difficulty moving food into the esophagus. Any condition that produces muscle weakness may result in impairment of the swallowing mechanism. Early recognition of the patient's difficulty will allow the nurse to implement aspiration precautions to protect the patient from complications of dysphagia.

B. Mix gently after inoculation.
