B. This is preferred site for IV insertion. Contraindicated sites for venipuncture: Arteriovenous shunt should never be used to obtain specimens because of risks of clotting and bleeding
A, C, and D. Contraindicated sites for venipuncture: presence of IV fluids, hematoma at potential site, arm on side of mastectomy, or hemodialysis shunt.
