Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
The antidote for digoxin intoxication is digoxin immune Fab (Digibind). Amiodarone is an antidysrhythmic and would not treat digoxin intoxication. Spironolactone is a diuretic and does not treat digoxin intoxication. Giving more of the same type of drug does not treat drug intoxication.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A, B, C, D
Agents used to treat DVT may prevent future clotting, may prevent the extension of clots, may inhibit steps in the formation of clots, and act to prolong bleeding time. Medications used to treat DVT do not lower serum triglyceride levels.
