When using a torque wrench to tighten a circular compressor head:
 
  A) Set the wrench to 120 of the specification to allow for loosening.
  B) Tighten the bolts in a clockwise pattern, working your way around the circle.
  C) Apply a bead of silicone sealant to the gasket before starting
  D) Tighten all the bolts to a lower torque, repeat with a slightly higher torque, and finally tighten all the bolts to the specified torque.
