Find the area under the standard normal curve between z = -1.52 and z =1.25.

Question 2

If events A and B are independent, and P(A) = 0.6 and P(B) = 0.5, find P(A and B).

Answer to Question 1

P(-1.52 < z < 1.25) = 0.4357 + 0.3944 = 0.8301

Answer to Question 2

P(A and B) = P(A) P(B) = (0.6)(0.5) = 0.30
