DISADVANTAGE  THE RESEARCHERS OBSERVE, BUT CANNOT CONTROL, THE EXPLANATORY VARIABLES. ADVANTAGE  THEY ARE MORE LIKELY TO MEASURE PARTICIPANTS IN THEIR NATURAL SETTING (AND DO NOT MANIPULATE THEIR ENVIRONMENT).
