Answer to Question 1

The Additive Rule states that P(A  B) = P(A ) + P(B) - P(A  B), so P(A  B) = P(A ) + P(B) - P(A  B) = .60 + .30 - .80 =.10.

Answer to Question 2

P(A  B) = .37 + .69 - .23 = .83
