In order for a study to qualify for an expedited IRB review, the researcher must demonstrate that
 
  a. subjects will be paid for their participation.
  b. the study is being carried out in a standard psychological research laboratory.
  c. the study will present no more than minimal risk of harm to the subjects.
  d. the results of the study will be published in a prestigious scientific journal.

Question 2

In order for a study to qualify for an exemption from IRB review, the study must ensure that,
 
  1) if a subject's privacy is violated, the disclosure would not result in legal difficulties, impaired financial or employment status, or marred reputation for that participant; and 2)
 
   a. the data must by anonymous.
   b. the subjects are paid for their participation.
   c. only enrolled college students are being used in the study.
   d. only students majoring in psychology, or other scientific disciplines, are participating.
