Answer to Question 1

  • musical purity

  • music that is created by an isolated group of people reflecting no outside influences.

  • Even in an area such as the Tarta Mountains, often described as isolated, there are qualities of muzyka Podhala that are unique and distinct, but not isolated and certainly not pure.

Answer to Question 2

  • Regional music is likely to be performed in local restaurants and at music festivals throughout Europe.

  • Immigrants from Europe coming to the U.S often continue their regional traditions including musical practices, e.g. at festivals and weddings.

  • Boasting the largest concentration of Polish Grale outside Poland, Chicago has dozens of Tatra-style string-bands and dance troupes.

The vaccine cannot cause you to get influenza, but in some seasons, may not be completely able to prevent you from acquiring influenza due to changes in causative viruses. The viruses in the flu shot are killed—there is no way they can give you the flu. Minor side effects include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given. It is possible to develop a slight fever, and body aches, but these are simply signs that the body is responding to the vaccine and making itself ready to fight off the influenza virus should you come in contact with it.
