   B. CD 1:18 is polyphonic; CD 1:17 is heterophonic.
  C. CD 1:17 is monophonic; CD 1:18 is homophonic.

ANS: B. CD 1:18 is polyphonic; CD 1:17 is heterophonic.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A. CD 1:17 presents a more decorated version of the original melody than CD I:23.
