Answer to Question 1

Mr. Lunna learned to drum through an extended period of master-apprenticeship.
As a young child, Mr. Lunna began his drum education by studying drumming talks and singing with his grandfather (Lun-Naa Neindoo, a drum chief).
Mr. Lunna developed a father-son relationship with his drum teacher, Mba Ngolba, to whom Mr. Lunna referred as his teaching-father.

Answer to Question 2

Euro American musical features: duple-metered melodies based on a seven-note major scale and related harmony
traditional African musical features: polyrhythms, improvisation, and repetition
The postal workers thought the sounds they were creating synchronized their work rather than being a musical performance.
