The shading test will indicate how each panelist performing, and if the bypass diode is working correctly when he panel is shaded.

The steps involved installing a commercial solar photovoltaic system may include any of the following; planning, sizing, and designing the solar photovoltaic installation, preparing the roof, installing solar panel mounting hardware, mounting the hardware rails for the solar panel on the post in the roof, bolting solar panels together to form an array, mounting the array on rails and holding them in place raising the panels to the proper tilt angle connecting the electrical wires between the solar arrays, connecting wires into the combiner box and junction box, connecting wires between the combiner box and inverter, meter and disconnects, connecting power from the three phase inverter to the building main electrical entrance.

The steps involved in installing a residential solar photovoltaic system may include any of the following; designing the system, determining the types of equipment required, installing the hardware to mount the solar panels, installing the solar panel, installing electrical hardware for the solar panel, bringing the system online testing.
