Answer to Question 1

Makeup must be supplied to replace water lost by evaporation, drift, and blow down.

Answer to Question 2

The series circuit, which allows only one path for the current to flow; The parallel circuit, which has more than one path;
The series parallel circuit, which is a combination of series and parallel circuits.
