Answer to Question 1

Humidifiers that are not properly maintained are subject to mold and mildew growth. Because of concerns with indoor air quality it is very important that any humidifier be properly maintained to prevent these growths. If a growth occurs and the system is allowed to dry, mold and mildew will release spores and the spores are the primary irritants in a building. Before a system is restarted you must remove all of the growth.

Answer to Question 2
