Answer to Question 1

The pressure lines run horizontally from the right side to the left side of the diagram. The pressure scale is in absolute pressure, psia.

Answer to Question 2

The saturation curve is the big hump in the middle of the PH diagram. It shows the area of saturated refrigerant.
