Answer to Question 1

Ozone depletion is the destruction of the ozone concentration in the stratosphere by chlorine and bromine. Global warming is the increase in the earth's temperature due to greenhouse gasses trapping in heat.

Answer to Question 2

HCFCs are less chemically stable than CFCs because they still contain hydrogen. Most HCFCs released to the air tend to break down in the troposphere before reaching the stratosphere.
