Answer to Question 1

No. However a system could be simultaneously recharging the storage while also providing for live load chilling. A system could also be discharging from storage while live load chilling.

Answer to Question 2

The left hand rule is used to determine the direction of rotation of the flux around the conductor. Imagine the conductor held in your left hand with your thumb pointing in the direction of current flow. Your fingers will align in the direction of the flux.
