Answer to Question 1

Atoms are made of small particles called protons, neutrons, and electrons. Protons are positively charged, electrons are negatively charged, and neutrons have no charge. In the center of the atom is a nucleus composed of protons and neutrons. Clouds of negatively charged electrons are arranged in energy levels around this nucleus.
