Answer to Question 1

Gas and oxygen hoses should be inspected before every shift and removed from service if any defect is found. Hoses that show evidence of wear must be tested to twice the normal pressure and at least to 300psi.

Answer to Question 2

Utility poles being transported should be clearly marked by a red flag on the end of the longest pole. Poles should be inspected before they are unloaded to make sure they have not shifted during transport.
