Engineers should be a member of their engineering professional society because in addition to helping regulate the performance of engineers engineering professional societies also are advocates for engineering, they provide legal services to their members, and they provide opportunities for life-long learning.

Answer to Question 2

The difference between morals and ethics is that morals relate to being able to distinguish between right and wrong conduct and ethics are a system of morals of a particular profession, group, philosopher, or religion or the study of standards of conduct, moral judgment, or moral philosophy (McKechnie, 2008 p. 687).
