Answer to Question 1

Lamination prevents eddy currents from flowing between laminations, reducing core losses.

Answer to Question 2

1) Offshore wind turbines are less obtrusive than those on land, and noise is less of an issue.

2) The average wind speed at sea is usually higher and the winds last longer than over land.
