Answer to Question 1

The Chandrasekhar limit specifies that the electron degeneracy pressure that supports a white dwarf can only support an object of 1.4 solar masses or less. If the mass is greater, electrons and protons combine to make neutrons and neutrinos, and the resulting object can be supported by neutron degeneracy pressure.

Answer to Question 2

I. The orbits of the planets are ellipses with the Sun at one focus.
II. A line from a planet to the Sun sweeps over equal areas in equal intervals of time.
III. A planet's orbital period squared is proportional to its average distance from the sun cubed (can include actual equation)
