E

Answer to Question 2

The Sun produces energy by fusing hydrogen into helium. In net, four hydrogen nuclei fuse to produce one helium nucleus, two neutrinos, and energy. The temperature required is very high (at least 10 million Kthe Sun's core is 15 million K). Research is underway to develop a controllable similar process to generate energy on Earth.
