Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

The number of sunspots changes over an 11-year cycle. At their peak, there may be hundreds of sunspots seen at any one time; at their minimum, virtually none may be seen. The sunspot cycle appears to be related to the solar cycle which is the reversal of the Sun's magnetic field each 11 years and back again in another 11 years for a total of 22 years.
