Maxwell's equations utilize or can produce all of the following EXCEPT:

Formulations for magnetic monopoles
Vector functions for electric and magnetic fields

A formulation where the speed of light can be calculated
  Quantities of charge and current
Permeability and permittivity of a vacuum

Question 2

Protons in the nucleus attract electrons with enough electromagnetic force to keep them in orbit at high speeds. Protons in general repel each other, but in the nucleus they are bound together. How is this possible?

The introduction of neutrons diffuses the protons' charge over a large volume
The strong force binds the protons together on small distance scales
The electrons orbiting the nucleus create an electromagnetic force on all sides due to their high speed of revolution
The gravitational force binds the protons together on small distance scales
The electroweak force binds the protons together on small distance scales

Answer to Question 1

Magnetic monopoles are forbidden in the understanding of electromagnetism as formulated by Maxwell. According to Maxwell's equations, every magnet has two poles, much like the north and south on a bar magnet.

Answer to Question 2

The strong force binds protons to protons (all nucleons in fact) over very small distances of about 10-15 m. The strong force is two orders of magnitude larger over those distances than the electromagnetic force. The nucleus does succumb to electromagnetic repulsion with large values of A, the nucleon number.

Every flu season is different, and even healthy people can get extremely sick from the flu, as well as spread it to others. The flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. Every person over six months of age should get an annual flu vaccine. The vaccine cannot cause you to get influenza, but in some seasons, may not be completely able to prevent you from acquiring influenza due to changes in causative viruses. The viruses in the flu shot are killed—there is no way they can give you the flu. Minor side effects include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given. It is possible to develop a slight fever, and body aches, but these are simply signs that the body is responding to the vaccine and making itself ready to fight off the influenza virus should you come in contact with it.
