Answer to Question 1

Declination: 16 39'; right ascension: 6 h 43 min as found on the celestial sphere.
The distance that the star is from the Sun does not affect this answer.

Answer to Question 2

The number of daylight hours decreases as you travel northward. The daylight hours
increase as you travel southward.
