If a meter stick is metallic and is used for measuring lengths at room temperature, what will be the effect of using the same meter stick for measuring lengths outside on a snowy day?

.There will be no effect. The lengths measured outside would be the same as those measured inside.
.The lengths measured outside would be slightly less than those measured inside.
.The lengths measured outside would be slightly greater than those measured inside.
.It is impossible to tell. It depends on what type of metal the meter stick is composed of.
