Answer: To the right of the wind direction. With no outside forces, water moves in the direction of the wind. But the Coriolis force deflects wind and water currentsto the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere. So, in the Northern Hemisphere Ekman transport is to the right of the wind direction.
