We never find isolated, individual quarks because
 
  A) quarks immediately undergo radioactive decay when they are separated.
  B) quarks are bound tightly together by neutrinos.
  C) quarks are always attached to electrons.
  D) the force between quarks is infinitely strong so they cannot be budged.
  E) whenever quarks are separated, the energy created by the separation creates new quark pairs.
