Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

Answer: The work you do on the lifted object may be stored as gravitational potential energy. Then force  distance = weight  height. If the lifted object is dropped, this energy transforms to motion energykinetic energy. The kinetic energy it possesses as it returns to its initial position equals the gravitational potential energy at its highest point, which equals the initial work done.

For about 100 years, scientists thought that peptic ulcers were caused by stress, spicy food, and alcohol. Later, researchers added stomach acid to the list of causes and began treating ulcers with antacids. Now it is known that peptic ulcers are predominantly caused by Helicobacter pylori, a spiral-shaped bacterium that normally exist in the stomach.
