  A. Take a number of different forms such as neighborhood associations and homeowners associations, which are basically the same thing.
  B. Can have what is described as a social work orientation, which views the neighborhood as a political entity or a power base.
  C. Can accomplish a great deal simply by encouraging and supporting the further development of natural helping networks.
  D. Are best oriented to face-lifting activities, like neighborhood clean up and housing rehabilitation, and social interaction activities really define the extent of what neighborhood organizations can do.
