Adolescent females have been found to have higher levels of career
  maturity (Whiston & Brecheisen, 2002). Why?
 
  a. We don't know. Is this because females are more mature or does gender-stereotyping restrict female career development?
  b. We don't know. Given how much career research has been done on adolescence, it is currently beyond our methodology.
  c. Parents treat boys differently from girls and this bleeds into adolescence.
  d. Teachers treat adolescent girls differently than boys.
  e. Females are more cognitively developed in adolescence.
