1 . Gay bashing: Physical violence does occur but not all incidents are generally known.
2 . Black mail: Workers threaten to expose sexual minorities.
3 . Ostracism and harassment: Sexual minorities are isolated in the workplace.
4 . Hidden discrimination: Sexual minorities are not promoted because of their sexual orientation.
5 . Termination: Sexual minorities are dismissed because of their sexual orientation.
6 . Lavender ceiling: Like the glass ceiling for women, sexual minorities are passed over for top-level jobs.
