 Ask existential questionshow does she interpret her husband's death (are there unresolved feelings of anger, questioning, etc.? Is there a desire to figure out Why am I here?).
 Inquire, using standardized and non-standardized assessments about interests, skills, values, etc.
 Reflect on her emotions about having to return to work, losing her husband, trying to manage as a single mother, etc.
 Listen for negative self-talk and utilize cognitive reframing exercises.
