Answer to Question 1

Describe groups for victims of abuse and groups for survivors of suicide. What are the primary issues addressed by each? Similarities? Differences? Advantages or disadvantages?
Groups for victims of abuse help survivors recover from trauma, and deal with the repercussions and emotions
Groups for survivors of suicide focus on helping adults break out of isolation and resolve grief issues
Although both groups offer a healing aspect, suicide survivor groups focus on making meaning, while abuse survivor groups incorporate a psychoeducational component

Answer to Question 2

Describe and discuss the jogging group. How does this format follow A. Lazarus's multimodal BASIC ID concept?
A jogging group is a type of activity group which focuses on long-term, positive wellness, and is built on the premise that exercise is an important element of wellness
The BASIC ID model stands for behavior, affect, sensation, imagery, cognition, interpersonal relationships, and drugs/biological factors
Jogging groups feature an hour of exercise and an hour or groups process, which follows the BASIC ID concept
