A

Answer to Question 2

The exclusionary rule is a criminal procedure rule stating that evidence obtained illegally cannot be used at trial. Illegally obtained evidence is excluded. A doctrine that often works with the exclusionary rule is the fruit of the poisonous tree doctrine. This doctrine states that subsequently discovered evidence, derived from an initial illegal search and
seizure, is not admissible. Mapp v. Ohio, 367 U.S. 643 (1961) is a landmark case
involving Fourth Amendment issues where the U.S. Supreme Court recognized the exclusionary rule.
