Answer to Question 1

The reporter should introduce himself or herself to all parties and hand out business cards. A copy of the pleadings should be obtained if the reporter does not have them already. Equipment should be set up properly. Stipulations and swearing in of the witness should be properly conducted. The examination of witnesses and the presentation of exhibits should follow in an orderly fashion. All certified questions should be so marked, etc.

Answer to Question 2

Witnesses to accident, personal accounts of incidents by people involved, a defendant's statement regarding a crime, etc.
