Answer to Question 1

To compel a witness to bring documents with him upon which he or she will testify.

Answer to Question 2

The response should include the fact that it is an official written document which has the title, venue, litigants, person giving notice, person before whom testimony will be taken, time and place of deposition, names of those who will give testimony, and the matters upon which each person will testify.
