Patent prosecution refers to the process of applying for a patent through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and negotiating with the patent examiner.

Answer to Question 2

A business method patents is subject to the same legal requirements for patentability as any other process or method. Figure 4.1 lists some sample business method patents.
