2. Army: segregated units, no chance to become officers, less pay than whites, less combat training compared to whites, more dangerous assignments compared to whites, lack of easy combat assignments compared to whites.
3. Navy: less pay than whites, no chance to become officers, lower-level assignments compared to whites.
4. Conclude that both experiences entailed similarities but key differences.
