Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

The restaurant industry is a vital component of the hospitality industry as it generates more than 4 of the GDP of the U.S. today. It also would be almost unheard of for a destination or event to be without some form of food and drink. The foodservice component is a vital part of the lodging and tourism industry. The foodservice industry provides many hospitality employees a starting point to their careers in hospitality, and the foodservice component teaches people many of the skills needed to be successful in hospitality and tourism.
