Answer to Question 1

Mise en scne was originally a French theatrical term meaning placing on stage.
The phrase refers to the arrangement of all the visual elements of a theatrical production
within a given playing area: the stage. No matter how far this playing area extends in all
directions, even out into the audience, the mise en scne is always in three dimensions.
Objects and people are arranged in actual space with depth, height, and width. This space
encompasses that which is shared by the audience, creating an intimate, interactive setting.

Answer to Question 2

The most dominant organism of a community is given more space in which to move
and exert its dominance over other organisms. Less dominant organisms have less space in
which to exist, thus they are more crowded together. The more space allotted to an organism,
the more power and control it has.

Drug abusers experience the following scenario: The pleasure given by their drug (or drugs) of choice is so strong that it is difficult to eradicate even after years of staying away from the substances involved. Certain triggers may cause a drug abuser to relapse. Research shows that long-term drug abuse results in significant changes in brain function that persist long after an individual stops using drugs. It is most important to realize that the same is true of not just illegal substances but alcohol and tobacco as well.
