Answer to Question 1

Answer: d

Answer to Question 2

Answer: key points to be made
Jeffery felt that material satisfiers are more important than social reinforcers, biological is primary drive
For Jeffery, satiation and deprivation added to operant conditioning to explain why a person might be more receptive to certain stimuli at certain times - current condition matters
For Akers, behavior is learned through operant conditioning but learning takes place through social context with modeling and imitation
Akers felt that although learning can take place in nonsocial situations, social is primary
Akers argued that group reinforcers influenced by class, culture, subculture, gender, economic status
Jeffery wanted legal and biological variables included and felt that someone could commit crime without any type of social approval at all
For Akers, differential reinforcement is key as stimuli and contingencies for reinforcement vary across social situations
