Answer to Question 1

Answer: Good answers should focus on the reasoning for the courts ruling in this case. They can base their opinions on other court rulings as well and how they can apply them to the fourth amendment.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Good answers will focus on the rationale of the Supreme Court in border checkpoints ( Carroll v. United States), illegal immigrant checkpoints (United States v. Martinez-Fuerte), sobriety checkpoints (Michigan Dept. of State Police v. Sitz), and license and safety checkpoints ( Delaware v. Prouse). Students need to take a position and logically defend it.
