principle could result in violation of the citizens civil rights.

Answer: Booking is the process that officially records an entry into detention after an arrest. Booking consists of
recording the arrest in official law enforcement records, fingerprinting, and photographing the accused.
If the charge is a bailable offense, the accused is entitled to post bail at this time.
