Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

Answer should list all four dimensions and provide information on each: The philosophical dimension includes the ideas and beliefs surrounding a new paradigm of policing. The strategic dimension consists of the key operational concepts that translate philosophy into action. Community -policing strategies include reoriented operations, geographic permanency, and an emphasis on crime prevention. The tactical dimension is best understood as the inevitable outcome of the successful implementation of the first two dimensions. It ultimately translates ideas, philosophies, and strategies into concrete programs,
practices, and behaviors. The organizational dimension is essential to community -policing development. The structure of police agencies and their management and information services need to be adjusted to accommodate community policing through such changes as decentralization, strategic planning, and program evaluation.
