When importing a model, its insertion point corresponds to the model origin in the model's source file. A logical insertion point means easy importing.

Answer to Question 2

A stretchout line is a line on which true lengths have been laid out in order to draw developed parts. It represents the axis along which the part is unfolded or unrolled.
