How can the Section Plane tool be used to remove part of a model?

Answer to Question 1

This tool creates an imaginary plane through an object, and a set of intersection edges can be created by right-clicking on a section plane and choosing Create Group from Slice. After the group of edges is exploded, all objects on either side of those edges can be erased.

Answer to Question 2

From the main menu, choose View / Component Edit / Hide Similar Components.
